Journal Prompt 1. Cofer's "My Father in the Navy" and Joyce's short story "Araby" are autobiographical or narrative in nature. Review the chapter in the Longman concerning the rhetorical mode Narration (pgs. 109-116). Discuss two narration qualities you see in the poem and the short story collectively. 1 para.
Journal Prompt 2. Conflict and conflict resolution are narration qualities. Conflicts can be man vs. man, man vs. nature, and man vs. self. Describe one example from Mayblum's "The Price We Pay" that exemplifies one of the aforementioned areas of conflict. 1 para.
In "The Price We Pay" I see a man vs. man conflict. The people in the twin tower were being attacked by terrorist who hijacked the planes. Not knowing at the time what was going until after the made the way through all the floor and each one they had to deal with all kinds fires, ceiling falling down, and trying to save other while trying to save yourself.

This ad is focused on everyone. Its made for men, woman,and children. This ad has a burger on it that has all toppings. Its makes you want to bit right into it. The purpose of this ad is let u know u can make your burger any way you want to. There are no limits to how many toppings u can put on it.

The advertisement i have read was in a magazine. It was tring to advertise a diet drink. The picture was of all woman. The woman had three differnt poses. One woman had a camara in her hand. She had a big smile on her face. She was taking a picture of someone else. The second woman was jus spining around in tha yard, The wind was flowing through her hair. The third woman was reading a book. The whole advertisement was very gloomy. It was grey and black. I think that tha ad should have more life to it. the should be more color to the ad. It should be more exiciting to make people want to try it, it also shouldnt just target woman. It should be for men also. This ad didnt make me want to try it.

This ad is for women shoes. The ad has lots of color on it. They use colors like: bright orange,light pink, light blue,and lime green. There are multitudes of women in the picture. Each woman has on a different pair of shoes. The shoes have all types of different colors. I would buy a pair of these shoes because they catch my eye. I would want the shoes on my feet to catch other people eyes. The shoes look very comfortable. They could be good walking shoes.
